Teaching Artists International

About Us

Teaching Artists International (TAI) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization with a mission of developing global citizen musicians that support music education around the world. We achieve that mission by partnering with socially-driven music institutions around the world to provide teaching artists residency opportunities to travel, perform, teach, and support our global music partners.

As a TAI Fellow, Teaching Artists International provides international performance and teaching residency opportunities to exceptional musicians and music educators. We curate the experience by bringing along world-class faculty to facilitate our workshops on a variety of topics ranging from social justice, music education, and teaching artistry.

Interested in becoming a TAI Fellow? We have current fellowships in Eastern Europe, Central & South America, and Africa! For more information, please visit our Fellowships page to learn more!

Our musical partners range from established programs of 10+ years to new initiatives that are just beginning, but the commonality among our partners is a commitment to using music for social justice work within their respective communities. Teaching Artists International strategizes with each partner to develop achievable, measurable, and sustainable goals to be accomplished during the residencies of our fellows.
