Julie Haring

As an active performer, violinist Julie Haring has performed throughout the United States, Denmark, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. While pursuing her Bachelors degree in Violin Performance at Bradley University, she performed in the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Bradley Symphony Orchestra, and was first violinist of the Hilltop String Quartet. Currently she performs in regional orchestras throughout Connecticut, including the New Britain Symphony and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. In June, she won the concertmaster position with the Connecticut Valley Symphony Orchestra.

In competition, Julie has won the 2014 Bradley University concerto competition and has been selected as a finalist in the Delta Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition in both 2016 and 2017. In March 2017, her Piano Trio was awarded third prize in the annual Hartt School Chamber Music Competition in Hartford, Connecticut. In April 2018, she was the featured alumni soloist with the Kankakee Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra. In addition to competitions and solo appearances, she is an active teacher in the Greater Hartford area - teaching students of all ages and backgrounds the joys of playing music. Julie received her Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance in 2016 from Bradley University studying violin with Marcia Henry Liebenow and her Masters of Music in Violin Performance in May 2018 at The Hartt School under the study of Anton Miller. Currently, she is working towards her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at The Hartt School. In her free time, Julie enjoys hiking, reading, and volunteering in the Hartford community.
