Lizette Lerma

Lizette Lerma is currently enrolled at the University of California, Santa Barbara and in the process of getting a Bachelors Degree in Feminist Studies. She is Chicana, Civil Rights advocate, and environmentalist. She spent four years volunteering with Heal the Bay and two years at West Hills Hospital in West Hills, California. One of Lisette’s biggest passions is education; having spent four years working with primary school children as a volunteer educator and mentor, she hopes to one day work in advanced education. She is excited to support Teaching Artist’s International and their mission to use music as a tool to bridge cultures and build community.

Lisette Lerma es una estudiante en la Universidad de California, Santa Bárbara y está en proceso de obtener una Licenciatura en Estudios Feministas. Ella es Chicana, defensora de los derechos civiles y ambientalista. Por cuatro años fue voluntaria en Heal the Bay y dos años en West Hills Hospital en West Hills, California. Una de las mayores pasiones de Lisette es la educación; después de haber trabajado durante cuatro años con niños de escuela primaria como educadora voluntaria y mentora, espera algún día trabajar en el nivel universitario. Ella se complace en apoyar a Teaching Artists International y su misión de usar la música como una herramienta para unir culturas y construir una comunidad global.
